Susan is an independent curator and writer specializing in architecture and design. From 1994 to 2002, she was Assistant Director for Public Programs at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York. A Fellow of the American Academy in Rome, Yelavich is a regular columnist for I.D. Magazine and the author of numerous articles and books, including Pentagram/Profile; Inside Design Now; Design for Life; The Edge of the Millennium: An International Critique of Architecture, Urban Planning, Product and Communication Design; and the forthcoming Contemporary World Interiors (Spring 2007).
